No Plastic Please  

Plastic bags so commercially successful and ubiquitous— Thanx for their low weight, Durability and Resistance (to degradation) – Of course that also the reason our environment facing bitter experience! Due to their durability, plastic bags can take up to 1000 years to decompose. As they slowly decompose, plastic bags break into tiny pieces and leech toxic chemicals into soils, lakes, rivers, and oceans

Many plastic bags end up as waste on our beaches, streets and parks. When a plastic bag enters the ocean it becomes a harmful piece of litter. Many marine animals mistake plastic bags for food and swallow them, with painful and often fatal consequences. Nearly 90% of floating marine litter is plastic.

plastic bags are among the top garbage items most often found in coastal cleanups.

The various other alternatives:

1. Use biodegradable bags made from fabrics.
2. Nylon bags can be used and reused several times.
3. Donate OLD NEWS PAPERS( Why i wrote in Bold because because the cutting down of trees will create another environmental issue) and magazines to small scale institutes that cut these old papers in to paper bags and packets.
4. Canvas bags.
5. Use a wicker basket. (They can make a fashion statement today).
6. Jute Bags Which are coming with good designs and handcrafted.
7. Refuse plastic bags in shops, & try to recycle or reuse the ones u do have
